Nokere

In the quaint village of Nokere, where rural architecture and village typologies define the streetscape, the design deliberately preserves and builds upon this existing identity. The renovation of a semi-detached family house is rooted in this contextual sensitivity, subtly integrating into the village setting while translating the traditional rural design language into a contemporary architectural expression.

The renovation was approached with technical precision and full attention to current thermal standards, focusing on insulation, airtightness, and energy efficiency. The architectural interventions are subtle yet purposeful, strengthening the dialogue between the home and the surrounding landscape.

At the rear, the house opens completely toward the rural panorama. A spatial sequence of interior and exterior zones creates a seamless transition that enhances the experience of the landscape. Large window openings, thoughtful sightlines, and a soft material palette establish a natural dialogue between inside and outside.

A home that anchors itself in its surroundings — respectful of the village context, technically sustainable, and in harmony with the calm of the landscape.
