Moregem
In the rural village of Moregem, a farmhouse in a non-designated zone was rebuilt on its original footprint. The design draws inspiration from the character of the traditional square farmstead, translating this typology into a contemporary architectural language that respects scale and materiality. A strategic spatial composition between the main volume and the various outbuildings forms the backbone of the design.
The house is fully embedded within the landscape, opening itself to the surroundings through carefully positioned openings. Views toward nearby landmarks are deliberately framed and integrated into the circulation, turning movement through the house into a spatial experience.
Here, detailing is not an addition but an intrinsic part of the architecture itself. Through the subtle interplay of form, material, and rhythm, a natural coherence emerges between architecture, interior, and landscape.
