Roeselare
In Roeselare, a single-family house has been designed in which the extent of the site plays a defining role in shaping the concept. The dwelling is repositioned in relation to the former building, allowing the organisation of the landscape to establish a clear spatial logic.

The design is driven by the articulation of the façade planes — not as an applied layer, but as a generative element that lends the architecture its character. A layered composition, introduced through garden walls and a recessed upper level, reinforces this sense of spatial depth while simultaneously ensuring privacy.

The architecture is conceived in close dialogue with the landscape. Façade planes are not confined to the building envelope, but extend deliberately into the surrounding terrain. As a result, generous living spaces emerge at the threshold between architecture and nature.

The project results in a house where layering defines the architectural expression and where the full extent of the site is made tangible.
