In Merelbeke, a residential project was developed featuring 19 houses, ranging from detached and semi-detached homes to enclosed dwellings. This typological diversity creates a nuanced whole in which each house retains its own character while forming part of a cohesive residential concept.

The architecture is attuned to the green qualities of the development, which is composed of small-scale parks and open landscapes. Rather than opposing its surroundings, the project embraces the landscape and weaves itself into it. The site layout and volumetry were carefully designed to respect and enhance the natural openness of the area, thereby improving the living comfort of each individual home.

The sense of unity within the project becomes visible through the rhythm of the buildings, the choice of materials, and the thoughtful transitions between private and collective zones. The architecture fosters a living environment where calmness, connection, and flexibility take centre stage.
