On a generous plot in Geluwe, a single-family home was designed that fully embraces the qualities of the site. The site layout defines the logic of the place. The design is driven by its detailing, not as an added layer, but as a determining element that gives the architecture its character.
The specific wishes of the client form the foundation of the design. Through a logical sequencing of functions, aligned with patterns of living and working, a home emerges that offers both openness and discretion. The relationship between living and working was carefully integrated, with zones that complement one another without interference.
The client determines the desired degree of privacy, a flexibility that translates into an architecture adaptable to different uses. The dwelling offers a high level of living comfort, supported by a clear spatial organisation and refined materiality.
A home in which the client’s wishes are tangibly translated into a functional, contextual and liveable architecture.
