Geluwe
In a non-designated zone in Geluwe, we designed a detached house that relates to its surroundings autonomously and thoughtfully. The design is based on a series of volumetric forms, where the architecture makes a gradual transition from a closed facade at the front to a deliberate openness at the rear. This progression is aligned with the landscape context and enhances the connection between the house and its environment.

The house stands isolated, with virtually no neighboring buildings. This solitary character is embraced to create a strong internal experiential concept. Circulation is organized along two axes — north-south and east-west — which not only determine the spatial layout but also create framed views throughout the house. All living spaces are oriented along these axes, making movement and sightlines form a spatial experience.
Architecture, interior and garden concepts were designed in close harmony. The choice of materials, sightlines and outdoor spaces reinforce the overall vision, resulting in a home that radiates calm, clarity and connection.
